ABOUT

An up-and-coming artist with interests in digital work, Kenya Thompson has a strong background in traditional mediums like costume design, illustration, pen and ink, sculpture, make-up artistry, and drawing from life. Though these are her primary focuses, Kenya is always looking to explore and challenge herself with new and exciting areas of art and expression. Her portfolio features a wide range of both traditional and contemporary pieces.Originally from Greensboro, NC, she attends Savannah College of Art and Design and is working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Sequential Art and a minor in Interactive Design and Game Development. As she is finishing up her senior year at SCAD, Kenya is not only working to gain a foothold in the professional world as a freelance artist and with her now three-year-old company Snow Bunny Studios but also continuing to explore all her interests and new crafts as an artist.

Happy 2012!~ January 5, 2012Happy New Year Everyone!I know it's been pretty quiet here lately around here. Things took a few odd twists and turns over the last few months, but here we are at the start of a brand new year.For anyone that's seen my latest poll, you already know this - I am closing art commissions for the foreseeable future. Any standing, unfinished commissions will be completed, but I won't be taking anything else with the start of this new year. I'll still be doing art work from time to time, but it won't usually be for sale or exclusively for purchase. I have been stretching myself far too thing and haven't been truly following my heart. It's time to refocus and get back on track!As is with any new year and a fresh start, I'm hoping the changes I'll be making will be just as awesome to everybody else as they are to me. I plan to post more video tutorials and demos in the future, hopefully once a month if not more. Plus, I'm looking to expand my existing line of premade cosplay items for sale - If there's anything you'd like to see added in the near future, don't hesitate to request it here or in a PM.I also have a few other major projects and events planned. However, I can't tell you everything; I have to leave a few surprises here and there.>^.^ <
